Kaj Johansen, MD, PhD

Doctor Johansen received his undergraduate (1966) and medical degrees (1970) from the University of Washington and completed a general surgery residency (1978) as well as a PhD in physiology/pharmacology (1977) at the University of California San Diego. In 1983 he was part of the inaugural class of US surgeons named as American Board of Surgery-certified vascular specialists. He has practiced vascular surgery in both academic and community settings in Seattle for over 40 years. In his off-duty time Doctor Johansen spends time with his wife, rows, reads and plays the cello.
